    The issues with the 3.6:

    - plastic oil filter housing
    - plastic thermostat housing
    - plastic radiator tanks

Apart from that: after 246,000kms it uses no oil, uses no coolant, and still gets a class leading fuel consumption.
It might only be a WK2 thing.

yes, I have a light foot and enjoy spending money on good beer, not bad petrol..............

SWAMBO gets 14L/100 on the same mixed route.

But I learned how to drive like that after 5 years of 4.7HO WJ ownership...........could never get under 16L/100 on that thing.

Thanks all for the feedback. After alit if test driving different SUVs, reading up, SWAMBO opinion of course.... I have pulled the trigger on the 2015 Jeep GC WK2 3.6 Overland.
Similar diesels were on average R30k more on deals. Can buy a lot of fuel.

Will add photos on Tuesday when on collection.

    A mate bought a WK2 3.6 8-speed last week and did 700km this weekend. 10km/l.

Not driving like Miss Daisy that is seriously good fuel consumption.

These days the parking lot at Bulli's workshop looks like a WK2 convention. I doubt there is an indy with more knowledge about the model than him - I would use him for preventative and normal maintenance.

Could not detect anything during inspection also did not get any vibrations like I had with my Audi when they needed replacement.

That is better than I am expecting. Getting the feeling my consumption is gonna be the same as I got with my Disco.

That sounds like mostly freeway driving? Still, that would be excellent! Driving mostly to work a few years ago, on the N1 from Roodepoort to Midrand, I got 12.5 on my 3.6L Wrangler when driving really cat foot. Obviously the 8 speed box and better aerodynamics of the GC helps...
