    Default 1KDFTV in a 90 Prado

Difference is that this one has a mechanical injection pump.

We have one running in a 120 Prado already.

This one is destined for a 90 swb.

    1KD with the 1KZ pump?

Nice. How much is it down on power compared to the common rail system?

    No. KZ pump doesn't work.
    Straight mechanical pump.

Original 1KZ-T came with a plain mechanical.

OK, 5L pump? But that had no boost compensation?

    I suppose not. Just curious.

The Ozzies seem to use the Mitsu 4M40 pump and injectors. Since the Japs use the same pumps, it stands to reason that you'll find some combo that works.

All of the top manufacturers (Toy, Mitsu, Nissan) use a copy of the Bosch pumps. In fact, Bosch and Zexel have now merged.

UK version came out with the 1kdftv in 2001 and 2002 for the 90-series. 2003 onwards it was the 120-series.
