En daar is fout daarmee waarom? Kom kuier saam, ek maak worsbroodjies en stuff ook op die dag. Ek post gou die info vir die wag belangstel:

I would like to gauge interest before I set it all up. I will have space for 4 people per session, and I'll definitely host more than one if there's interest.

The session will include the following:

    1. Welcoming, introductions and whatnot.
    2. Purpose of the session, as well as a quick breakdown of how beer is made, a short history if people would be interested, etc.
    3. Recipe breakdown.
    3. Ingredients.
    4. Process.
    5. Yeast, what it does, and why we want to praise the Lord for blessing us with these tiny microbes.
    6. Brewing. Brewing of a batch of wort, of which each person will receive a 10l batch of wort to take home and ferment into beer.
    7. Airlock, grommet, yeast and instructions on how to ferment and finish your beer at home (similar to the homebrew kits I sell, but scaled down a little bit due to practicality).

Afterwards (or during) I'll pour a homebrew and we can chat for a while before everyone goes home. During the course of brewing we'll light a fire and braai a few pieces of boerewors, get some onions going, etc. to have something to eat as well.

I'll be brewing during the course on my "moerby" homebrew kit. It's VERY basic and it'll give you a good idea of how cheaply beer can be made at home. Such a session will typically take around 5 hours, start to finish, and I'm considering it for a Saturday afternoon, starting around 12:00 midday. Cost is R1,500 per person, all inclusive (you just pitch up with an empty bladder).

Location would be at my place in Pretoria.

Yes, right now I'm planning it for the 1st of May - very shortly after payday. I want to keep it close to payday for everyone's sake. As jy belangstel Willem, stuur my 'n WhatsApp en ek sit jou op die lys.

If it doesn't go through on the 1st (I need 4 guys to join), I'll move it out with a week or so.

Ja ne and as luck would have it my boorgat pomp started to misbehave last week, and I got the quote today. Was hoping they could fix it but its too old (more than 35 years) and it would need replacement - pump and motor - basically everything.

I'd love to see the video, but it says I don't have permission to view it. Also, hope you like that Porter. I made it like I would enjoy it, if it were mine.
