In that specific segment - eg SUV's - not in a million years.

The ratio of RR/RRS to Cayenne is probably 10:1 - Maybe even more.

However, Range Rover don't sell many sports cars.

Hell I’d be willing to try it out, ugly arse and all, who gives a toss how much money Tata loose on an annual basis..

Price will probably mean I might have to wait till I’m 65 before 2nd hand units become available in my affordability zone, assuming 1. I make it to 65, and 2. The powers in charge of this little gem of a place we reside in have not run away with my life savings and pension…..

I've owned only 4 vehicles, 2 of them Defenders.

The first one I drove for 13 years, a '84 V8 sold when she was about 30 years old, and the current one is a'06 Tdi.

One day I may have to get something new and I think I'm in for one helluva surprise.

But I suppose that if I were to upgrade in the future it wouldn't be to a new Range Rover it would be to a new Defender. This new version and the L405 are improving on items unimportant to me.

WOW! The technology in this is insane!

And 45cm ground clearance! (What other stock standard vehicle comes with that?)

    0.5m wheel articulation

    Rear Steering wheels

Noise canceling built into the headrests

I was wondering what they would do to improve on the old RR, which was already miles ahead in technology and comfort.

This is a pleasant surprise, I like it!

Pity they did away with the 5.0 super charged version though...

Disclaimer: I like it as an everyday drive and weekend travel car. Not an overlanding or trial car. (Will keep my defenders for that)

well, tbh, Saab had rear-wheel steering in most of its models back in the 80s/90s.
