Come to me , i got the machines and some brass and or copper to make it . We can easily make you a 316L s/s also that we can silver solder to the copper pipe . Copper to s/steel is a walk in the park , doing it every day.

From those drawings things dont add up. If you look at the 2 inch fitting the ss and copper pipe will be incompatible.

The OD of the flange shaft is 50.8mm and the ID of 2 inch copper pipe is around 51mm, the flange fits inside the copper pipe.
Unless maybe the 2 inch copper you use is perhaps thicker plunger making the ID of the copper smaller?

okay .I understand it better. Copper is 54mm. I have no idea of its wall thickness.Does it have to be copper. Whats wrong with the ferrule being brass. After all brass is about 65 percent copper. I think.

If one bo9ught a 2 inch nut and had a stainless ferule made. Couldnt you just use that. Much simpler. Tig the ss adapter to the keg and it screws onto the 2 inch conex nut.Job done.

Not the worst idea. You are paying for all the machining already vs. the small order for some bar.

Looks like M42 will work, this will give the correct OD to machine down to and 42mm bore to open up to 47.6mm. Will check the prices of the bolt tomorrow, I thonk they will be very expensive but lets check.

Andrew, you really should just buy yourself a 2 inch ferrule from guth or nde and get it tig welded or silver soldered onto the pipe you are looking to use and be done with it.

    Excellent.

Guth had a (one , and one only) long series ferrule. I snaffled that along with a short series.

    And away we go .......
