Default Pajero Sport - 2019 - Fuel Consumption

Can the lucky ones on this forum please give their real fuel consumption figures (average) for the 2019 and newer models of the PS.

I have the 2015 model and are looking at the 2019 (2015 model does not like to pass a filling station , averaging 8km/L)

My dad owns a 2018 model 2.4 4x4 and gets around 11-12km/l on the open road. In town probably 10-11km/l.

Your 2015 is quite heavy on fuel, perhaps you have a bit of a lead foot?

My 2015 2.5 4x4 give me about 9.5-10.5km/l open road and 8.5-9.5 km/l in town.

My 2014 gets about 8.5km/l ...or 11.5L/100km I think I have 2 lead feet..... I'm sure the chip does't help either
I put in a long range tank so it doesn't feel so bad having to fuel up so often...

Pretty much the same as Mikealan - heavy foot but also resembles a tank with all my extras. Probably average in the 12ís l / 100 Have a 70 litre added tank that makes trips to the juice bar less frequent but when you go your wallet takes pounding

Hi, not trying to hijack the thread, but who fitted your long range tanks and where are they fitted?
    Thanks.

Arnold - Mitsitech - here in JHB.
Runs adjacent to the main tank - basically same size but opposite side.
Rerouted Exaust, removed cat with straight through pipe

    Thanks guys.

Yes, the Triton has the 75L extra tank (front runner DIY fitted) total 147L. This just add to the frustration to stop at each and every fuel pump with the PS.

I would love to take it in to Arnold for some TLC, but 2 little drawbacks 1. I am in Nelspruit and 2. it is not cheap....

I nearly traded the 2015 PS on a 2019 this week, but decided against it - 2015 has only 64000km on.

2015 PSB 4X4 AUTO: as per my Fuelly note at my signature, 11,5 l/100km over 278 fuel ups, at 187500 km, lots of short trips, and highway peak times, and always late for the next meeting.........

Best ever was on a trfip to Esctcourt from Centurion and back. I must admit, I kept strictly to the speeds as required on the roads, it was only me, my overnight bag and laptop. No traffic jams. That trip gave me 8,8 l/100 km (11.36 km/l).

My about town driving style is hectic and hard, so I am really very happy with the consumption results.

Changing the tyres from HT to AT had a small increase untill I sorted out the tyre pressures and it went back to normal.

The sweet spot fuel consumption wise on the open road is unfortunately 100 to 115 km/h on the speedo. Push to 120 and 130 that tank level drops at an alarming rate.

It is a heavy vehicle, two differentials, transfer box and auto shifter (with lock up) so a lot of mechanical resistance.

I am forced to drive slowly when we take the Jimny with when going offroading. Frustration galore holding back on the highway but I guess the fuel consumption is better.
