Hi Guys, looking for suitable tyres for a semi-mothballed Jeep Grand Cherokee.
A car in storage must be run regularly, anders staan dit en breek.
However, its Bridgestone Duelers A/T 265/65 R17 112S 694's tyres are now more than 10 years old, shows cracks and two have slow leaks.
New tyres will be wasted, the Jeep does maybe 1k km per year. The storage tyres thus need not have much tread, but must be fairly new. Will consider any good set R17's or even just 2 tyres, Jeep is not true full-time 4x4 and can accommodate different circumference front to rear.
London owner willing to pay fair value.

Just bought an offroad trailer. I've replaced the 20 year old tyres (2004) with brand new ones but still need a replacement for the spare.

We only plan on doing local short distance so don't want to invest in a brand new spare.

Otherwise, I must probably start a thread on which budget tyres to get. The current set of Continentals are so old (probably on 110 000km now) that I faintly remember paying R1700 each for them including fitment and what not. Two rears are still fine, but the fronts have seen some wear and one has a slow puncture on an old plug.

I have a new 265/65R17 Continental Cross-Contact All Terrain tyre on a steel rim for sale. This was my Ford Everest's spare wheel but has never been used. I have replaced it with a 265/60R18 on an alloy rim and do not need it anymore. I have advertised it on Classifieds under "Tyres and Rims", photos are available there.

I am trying to get R4 000.00 but this is negotiable. Just to add that the 265/65R17 is the same circumference as the 265/60R18, so it can be used as a spare for the latter.
