Default Coolant Level Low Warning with Full Bottle

    Hi Guys,

I am getting a Coolant Level Low warning when the Coolant Bottle is Full.

I am positive there are no leaks as it has been pressure tested twice when
    heater hoses were replaced recently.

Checking level when cold it will be full.

Will book it in but wanted to hear ideas from others who may have experienced
this sort of thing - the error message does not make sense in the context.

Someone has pointed me to one of three things: Floater in Water Bottle, Sensor in Water
Bottle or Density of the Coolant not being correct ( non LR coolant or incorrect water to coolant ratio)

Your thoughts and/or experiences on this?

    Thanks,

    Hi Dirk,

Confirm, the sensor is in the bottle?

Yes, you need to replace the bottle.

Hi. This is an old thread but OP never said what the outcome was.
I have same issue. But the sensor wires connect to a probe which inserts into some gadget inside the bottle. Replacing the bottle does not replace the probe. So which is faulty: probe or gadget?

I need to override this fault since although I've had it for about 6 months the LR has now gone into limp mode which could be related to the low coolant fault warning (red triangle)

Can I bridge the 2 incoming wires to make the fault go away? I

I'm stuck in Swaziland so no chance of any help from a SA agent till CR kindly allows us to spend our bucks in his country.

The new bottle does come with a new probe, however its the float inside the bottle that packs up. Buy a new bottle, connect it up and your problems will be over

Sorry, I didn't come back on this - both Dirk and Mike were correct - it was the coolant level sensor faulty.
The sensor is part of the bottle, to rectify the bottle was replaced.

I have also got this issue since last week. Taking to my local mechy in Bfn. Apparently common, replace the bottle and it's sorted. R1k tomorrow morning.. done

Interesting comment, he said the cooling system must be cooled dow when replacing..
