I guess we are up for this. Although we've managed to get around a little during lockdown (a few trips to the bush, two trips to Bela Bela and one to Potch via Rustenburg), the big Datsun does need to stretch its legs again.

I also feel a bit concerned, especially since Parys is in another province?

Lets make the call closer to the time.

If anyone thinks that it should be postponed due the current circumstances, post here and let us know.

I think we should make it a night run from 23h00.

Almost like a slow-paced Cannonball Run.
My name is Rainier and I drive a Frotuna.

Why are you always in such a bad mood? Experience...

    Afternoon all

I think it could be expedient to postpone the Parys trip due to the need to cross county lines.

Shady has suggested an alternative for the day, in Glen Marais. He is going to do a recce and advise. It will be close for the ER boyz for a change.

    I will keep you posted

Unfortunately need to pull out of this trip, still on half salary and have some big expenses coming soon. (but exciting expenses though...)

I think it is a good idea not to cross the borders. Is it still only a dirt road, or are we looking at a track? In essence, will it be challenging, will I get to test my FL's new tyres ?

It is a little challenging but still doable in a softroader (depending on type). However one obstacle I wouldnt recommend for a softy, but will be bypassed except for anyone that wants to do it. And then after the brunch, for those that are brave enough (not me) there is a shallow river crossing that seems rather tame, unless you happen to be familiar with a particular soil type called black cotton....

Just to clarify, there are three separate locations. One with many sand-hill obstacles, the place for brunch, and then the river crossing. (All within 2000m of each other)

But we'll leave it up to Sean to decide what will be, as he's the event organiser. But I'm easy with whatever.
