When it’s here then I’ll comment on what is brought here. I’m just not convinced yet with the current hybrids. Also, they unfortunately come at a premium. Just in general, Yoh things are expensive and only getting even more. Yes yes I understand the “if you want it you have to pay for it” and and and... Maybe the times are even running away from me, the continued advancement, which is good, but even those that could afford it is getting smaller and going to shrink further. Times have got bad and the worst is not over.
That hybrid at a premium ought to have the fuel consumption of a Hyundai Getz, reliability of the old corolla and have the lifespan of those old mercs to make it a worthwhile buy... Just my thoughts
    Oh yes, with Apple CarPlay...lol

Toyota should give the top of the range tuna at least a sunroof, JBL surround audio and Android auto/apple carplay. You know it's these little fun add-ons that make a car loveable and easier to live with day by day. And yes if only the third row could have been redesigned to fold-flat, not sideways .. (too much wishful thinking I know).

I hope the revised 150kw motor also adds better nvh and refinement. I personally don't find much NVH difference between previous 3.0d4d and the current 2.8gd6.

When will the "new" Fortuner be on showroom floors?

I know its sometime between 01 Oct and 30 Nov, but can anyone narrow it down to within a week?

Hmm at 1:03 in the video above the presenter actually says rear diff lock, he is reviewing the base GX so perhaps LSD only on the luxury spec?

Also in Australia they dont seem to get the 2.4 only three 2.8 models....

Lets wait and see what SA gets...

Could it be this - this is how it (the LSD) is implemented on the 2WD Hilux:

    https://cartorquesa.co.za/p1043-hilux/

Off-road capability has also been approved thanks to a new electronic function replicating the effect of a mechanical LSD (on 2WD models); the lowering of engine speed at idle from 850 rpm to 680 rpm and a tuned accelerator response for greater driver control, an updated VSC system and a new tyre angle monitor.

It has limited slip diff ,but I guess it is the same diff as in the new Hilux , that means that it is still fully lockable also.
