I see in Thailand this model is also available, but not in Aus . It seems we will be more aligned with the Aus models then(?)

(Not sure if I like the indicator pos - low and exposed? But still very nice )

Both Models are available in Thailand , This one is the so called "Legender"which is their top off the line model. I don't know yet if maybe our VX will look like this , but I doubt it.

Come October everyone will be seriously dowm and out in the aftermath of Corona and no doubt the "new" vehicle will come at a "new" price but no-one will be able to afford one. (Maybe over 120 months with a 50% balloon payment).

Obviously not comparable as spec levels etc etc will differ, but I see in Aus the increases were:

    GX: $45,965 to $49,080 - 6.6%
    GXL: $50,790 to $54,350 - 7.0%
    Crusade: $58,290 to $61,410 - 5.4%

Average of about 6% which will take the top model to 800K. In 2010 I paid 411K. So double in 10 years.

Yip, i think you are right, we will probably see R800K+ (R820k?)
(I think a bit of the anticipated increase was already added to the Epic models so as not to make the jump 'too' big. Clever marketing move by putting in a 'buffer' model.)

Toyota SA warned us already that the prices will increase significantly on the new Fortuner and Hilux top range.

Toyota is trying to distinguish the Fortuner more from the Hilux , so they will never do that.

Yes. Because you can afford it. Not everyone has that luxury.

There isn't a huge price difference between the Prado and the Fortuner any more. R750k versus R855k.

And no, I can't afford it.

I did not need to see that. Eish tempting even though it is a D4d. But that is a good discount for a very acceptable vehicle. For me anyway, sure the fault finders will find a fault.
