    Impressive. I've never seen it that seriously iced, although I have driven the pass before in a lesser "iced-up state". Both up and down. It scared the ....... out of me.

    I once got stuck there in the snow and just couldn't get past that corner, and that was WITH chains on a Patrol!

    I've made it up and down without chains in a Patrol. This was not in snow - the pass was solidly iced. However, I honestly thought I was going to die that day... I think there is possibly more traction with snow?? I don't really know.

    Seriously - as I've said before - people underestimate that pass. Get it on a good day and you wonder what the big thing about it is. Get it in crappy conditions, and you can hear the good Lord laughing at you...
