We only only saw it briefly (1/2 min) from Nthn Jbg tho its bright ... appeared clearly as brightish moving star then disappeared ...
maybe as its rotating ? or due to cloud etc ... also sky lighting up for dawn.

... so will peak again tomorrow...
(trust its permissable to look at it under Level 3 Regs ... )

    ... keep ‘em peeled ...

You guys getting up before sunrise on the coldest morning in decades worry me... I see you're all old buggers, so I guess you need to get up anwway to relieve yourselves.

I thank my lucky stars that I am not blessed with that problem.....yet!

Now someone please take a video and post it here, ain't no way I am anywhere contemplating standing outside in the current minus whatever temperatures we are experiencing right now, but I do want to see it too!

Nice one! I remember when we used to watch Sputniks and whatever in the night sky, could see them quite easily those days. Perhaps they orbited at a lower altitude back then.

Waking up in the morning is a good start. Then remember never ever to cross off the last item on your "bucket list" before first adding at least one more !!

I suggest downloading one of the many free apps that are available, such as Sky Guide.

Put ISS in your favourites and it will tell you when its coming, you wont have to wait long and its really bright, so even here in PTA its easy to see.

Reminds me to look to see if it will tell me when Elons pearl necklace of interweb sateliites is available to see yet.

Its only visible due to the solar panels reflecting the suns rays. As it enters the shadowy part you no longer see the reflection, even though it might be directly overhead.

Interesting tidbit, it circumnavigates the earth in 92 minutes!
