Hi all

Has anyone managed to get tyres through tyres.coza in the last 6 weeks?

I bought a set of 4 tyres from tyres.co.za at the end of March. Today, finally, I got them. There was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing with the founder and CEO, Thomas Rundle and I was getting frustrated.

I’m posting this because it shouldn’t be only negative experiences that are publicised on platforms such as this.

Throughout the last 6 weeks, with lockdowns in SA and elsewhere, containers backed up in the ports, factories closed or operating at limited capacity Thomas Rundle never made excuses, instead he spent the time busting a gut trying to get the tyres to me.

What really impressed me though, and secured my loyalty was that yesterday, because I’d waited so long, he refunded the cost of 1 tyre. Which means that he made a loss on this sale. I think that this level of customer service is the difference between businesses that will survive the Covid-19 recession and those that won’t.

Tyres.co.za has the option to pay on delivery in Pretoria.

I wrote and asked if he would deliver to Kempton Park, and he agreed.

He has a very good price on tyres I needed, and I ordered.

The tyres were delivered today and I paid.

If only all transactions could be done with that efficiency.

review him( barden tyres and tyres.co.za) on trustpilot and hello peter. You can also tweet to him on his home page and if you want ad sars and fnb to the tweet. I actually reported him to the consumer protector

Sounds to me like this should be escalated a bit more by the affected parties and go full legal.
For the handful of you guys reporting the issues here, just imagine how many people not on the forum are being stolen from. he needs to be stopped properly.

check his google, trustpilot and hellopeter reviews. There are quite alot of people.
I was fortunate to get my money back. Now I cant get rid of him as he wants me to remove the negative reviews. I had to block his number!!! Prior to this, I could not get hold of him.

I am the next victim of Tyres.co.za's scam. I am not going to let this one go and will be opening a mass case of fraud against Thomas and get him behind bars. So if you are still owed money/tyres from them - please pop me a private message.

I see a comment from 2017 referring to them as Barden Tyres..So he has been doing the rounds for a while
Maybe someone should give SARS a tipoff and see what comes of that
