Question What size BFG's for Jimny?

A friend of mine is waiting to take ownership of her new Jimny and would like to have BFGs fitted to replace the Dunlop Grandtrek AT20. She has been getting confusing feedback regarding available stock and the size BFGs come in. She will not be doing any suspension changes. What is the most practical BFG size for the Jimny?

OK...no BFG stock anywhere... I know this question could possibly open a can of worms but what other AT tyre is a good all rounder for the Jimny?

Ideal size is 215/75R15 as it is marginally bigger than stock. The dunlops that the car comes with are crap. I removed them within the first week.

Tyres that people have had good results with on Jimny's besides the BFG's are Goodyear Wranglers and General Grabbers.

I had 215/80R15's on, before I went up to 235/75R15's.

The effect on fuel consumption is quite severe. So if she is not planning to do really rough stuff, stick with 215/75R15.

    215/75R15 = 27.70" dia
    215/80R15 = 28.54" dia
    235/75R15 = 28.88" dia

Did you measure accurate distances for fuel consumption, or odometer readings?
If I may ask, why did you change from 215/80 to 235/75?

With the 235's my corrected consumption is around 11.3l/100km

I went with 235's because I decided to go with M/T's
