Thank you so much for this enjoyable report. I think that I will go and fill my water tanks, just feel that I am getting closer to the desert.

    Total Km traveled was 1200.
Total fuel used is none of your business
10 days (maybe 11) in total.
No mechanical issues, although my anti-roll bar bushers now need replacing, oh ja the fridge fan packed up but the old engel still pushed through.
Now waiting for lock-down to end to hopefully be on the road again soon.

and as a final note, when travelling these areas, please use common sense and respect the wildlife and the locals. Leave the areas clean and avoid making new tracks. Bring your own wood and water etc. Don't take chances and be safe.

Alu-Cab Khaya, with quite a few personal mods, as they often spend a few weeks at a time in the bush and mostly have to be self sufficient.

Just for interest sake, the "culprits" were identified and the situation has been resolved.

Great trip report for a PES old boy Wish we had your local knowledge, we tend to stick to the slightly "better" travelled roads, our off-road skills don't match yours. When we return to Swakop we will look you up and hopefully share a few cold ones

Ha Ha. PES was tops, just hated wearing the basher's.
Was sent there back then as their education levels were higher than what we had here, good times.

definitely give me a shout when you here.

Hopefully they were made to go out there and rake it over with garden rakes
