    Default Replacement seats

I'm finally getting myself a defend again.
One of the things I think about replacing is the front seats.
I think I have heard that BMW 6 series is a good bet.
What have you guys used how did it pan out and at what cost?

I've also heard that the Discovery 1 seats will work.

I would say that anything with a distinct seat rail system could be used.

something with two proper parallel rails

bear in mind that you need to get underneath the passenger seat at least, so they must be able to lift or pivot

Sorry for the side track, but could you please send me a bit of detail on the sitcom system I seen in the back of your defender?

I was about to mention 2006-2011 Civic hatch seats because the civic fuel tank is placed under the front seats which means they are fairly low and thought they'd be perfect for a Defender

Jelo, I will one day as I noticed that there are guys like you that will appreciate it. There is not much that I haven't changed. Sometimes twice, you can see that I installed a overhead Aircon, as the original just just take up legroom space. Now rebuilding that again completely, will be a dual system with an air recycle function in the front. Also busy with a different Instrument cluster that is more like a Defender's.

I am working overseas so plan, buy, make most things while away and use my 40kg luggage to the full when I go on my annual holiday (working)

    Sorry OT

If you asked about the rear seats, they are from 2010 Honda Civic 5 dr that folds up, or down. Just made brackets not to complicated. If you want details can send you, but think might be not Many Honda's on the road so to find the seats might be the biggest problem. I paid R4500 for the Complete set.

Hi sorry for that, damn auto correct. I meant the aircon unit. Have been toying with the idea to put into mine.

It looks suspiciously like an old VW Caravelle microbus unit.

No, no but the air vents is from Audi A6. The rest I made from fiberglass. Evaporator is at the back, Generic truck type, but will change that with Toyota Hiace Evaporator.

If you are tall. Be careful.
A lot of the seats, no matter how much you trim off the bottom end up too high.
