I bought an old 1995 John Deere ride on as a project. I don't have time despite the lockdown to tackle it, so in the meantime I would like to just use it.

It needs new front tyres. The best I can do is 750 a tyre plus 230 for tubes. Thats a cool 2k on a tractor that cost 5k.

My size requirements are 13x6.50x6

I seem to be able to order 13x5x6 for half of the price above. About 360 per tyre.

Can anyone tell me if the x5 will be ok? Or perhaps tell me where I can get a great deal?

Also if anyone knows of some used tyres that will see me through a year. Perhaps replace the whole front wheel?

I will refurbish the tractor next winter .

Thanks
Andrew
