How good are power brake actually? I got a set of front pads from them for my Alfa and they started to fade already with almost 100% of the lining remained.

From what I have read and experienced from friends vehicles, they are every good.

Friend of mine had a set on his WRX STI and the discs lasted well over 150 000km and the he used about 3 sets of pads during that time. This is after he replaced his Brebmbo discs and pads at 40 000km.

That said, I have also read numerous reviews that stated it is very important to follow the bed in instructions to the T.

Feel free to email them, they are very helpful and friendly people.

Again, brake performance and how long they last are inversely correlated, so you need to choose what you need.

I will give feedback as soon as they are fitted and bedded in.

I struggled with disc shudder and replaced OEM discs and pads 3 times before changing to Power Brake on my Pajero. Problem solved and a notable improvement in brake performance.

We supplied a set of these for a customer for his Hilux. With the RS discs and Mintex pads a 20% improvement over stock is claimed

The pads are too hard then, and suffers from glazing. I ran Ferodo Premium pads on my Freelander 2 and had to deglaze often. Stopping power is seriously affected, together with a grinding noise from the wheels.

They lasted incredibly long, but I was happy when they finally were finished.

Got softer pads then, and issue was gone.

    Placed order late Tuesday afternoon.

Discs and pads arrived for my Pathfinder Friday before lunch. Thank you Rikus de Villiers of Spartan Offroad in Secunda!!

I always replaced (twice in 250,000 km) front discs on my 1999 2.7 TDi Terrano with Powerbrake discs.. Very happy with their performance. I never needed to replace the rear discs on the Terrano, else it would have had them on the rear as well.

On my 1995 GQ 4.2i Patrol I replaced front and rear discs with Powerbrake discs and their specialized pads for the front (they did not stock rear Patrol pads). Wow!, did it have potent brakes after that!!!!

My current GU Y61 Patrol 3.0 TDi discs are like new at 180,000 km (previous owner replaced discs at about 140,000 km, Once they need replacement, it will be Powerbrake discs as well.

One could call me a fan of Powerbrake products, it is far superior in quality, performance and longevity compared to the standard Nissan disc rotors and also better than ATE discs, in my opinion.
