What I wouldn't give to be there right now, or even just planning a trip.

Good luck, hope your rooms fill up fast.

Do you have an airstrip or one nearby and if nearby, can you arrange transfer from strip to lodge?

    Are the Mosis cold?

Standard is to fly into Kasane. Most lodges there have transfers from there. Remember you have to go and land where there is customs, so Kasane works well (Vic falls is actually further from the lodge, and VERY expensive). Have done it more than once for a lodge very near that one and it was lovely!!! Only problem is I am not sure when flying across the border will be allowed again. Right now, you can just forget about it!!!! Anyway, I will keep these guys in mind for next time!!!!C
If you ain't livin on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

C Africa Borders and airstrips are closed at the moment.
Flying to Zambia in normal conditions one would clear at Livingstone.
The only airport now open in Zambia is Lusaka.
You will not be able to file a flight-plan from SA to either Botswana or Zambia.
    ENJOY.

    Howzit Piet

Lodge looks awesome. My son is currently embarking on a career as a fly guide, he has done the Zambezi, Orange and Amazon so far and was due to head to Alaska at the end of next month but that is out so I was thinking of taking a trip with him up to Zambia.

If we were to fly in, (when permitted again), does the lodge offer catering or is it on a self catering basis? I am just thinking of time and convenience compared to driving up fully kitted etc.

    Hi Estee,
Once the borders are open no problem. We get the groceries from Katima Namibia and have a chef that can prepare your meals.
