    No, not your kids

    Your garage boo-boo.

Mine came from the drill press. Bit broke of while I was foolishly trying to enlarge the hole.

Went through the nail and pulled my thumb up to the top of the drill bit.

That was not as painful as removing it, which my dad obliged with a pair of pliers and a piece of wood for me to bite on

Oh that brings back a memory of two weeks back. Although not a drill bit and press, but cordless drill with a Phillips screwhead bit.

Was busy building a drawer system for the Everest, and "drilling" the screws of the connect-it fittings into place, when the bit slipped of the screw and chose exactly the same spot on my thumb to impale. Nice hole through nail and whatever bit of meat is underneath.

It wansn't nearly as painfull as the UIT### I received from SWAMBO. This incident happened just after my index finger finally healed after I severed it with a carpet knife, fixing the irrigation pipes in the garden. (No comments necessary)

Looks like the kind of injury a drill press can also cause when your workpiece becomes a helicopter blade. Or maybe an angle grinder blade.?

When you lose your grip on a grinder with a wire cup-wheel.

I was seriously lucky to get away with a few scratches under my armpit.

I was working with wood and using one of the wood drill bits that has the sharp teeth at the end.
Drilling and all of a sudden the drill shot through the wood out the other end and into my pointing finger, at which time it decided to grab the meat and pull it out along with it.d

Just as that healed back using the same bit and working with wood again it did very similar but this time got my hand right at the wrist.
Both time I was drilling to out in dial to glue planks together.

No pics though, sorry. I was in to much pain to think of pics
