no, the plastic gets dirty inside and outside and it does look crap eventually, so why not a coloured sleeve and not clear?

The cable tie idea is cool, although I'm not sure a cable tie will survive in a UV position, my experience is that sunlight kills them pretty darn quick.

Thank you. yes thats true but very little of the cable tie sticks out and if it needs replacing once a year its not a big deal.

Some feedback after fitting only the panhard rod:
She drives just as well as my 110 did when she was brand new. I’ve always had a very slight shake at between 80 and 100kmh but now nothing. very happy with the result and can only imagine it getting better with the other new rods fitted

The bushes look like poly bush type bushes and the entire rod is heavier and much stronger. I would say itís probably 3 times the weight of the OEM rod. The OEM rod feels very weak in comparison

I forgot to mention. After a long drive I noticed a very slight squeaking noise when driving. It seems to be related to revs. I suspect one of the pulleys maybe tensioner pulley.
    any ideas?

Here is a video of the setup time. This is at double speed so I would say less than 2 mins to set up

Ordered a new belt tensioner, some silicon turbo hoses, new belt as a spare and some wheels. Will share a picture once I have fitted them. Hope the forum approves of the choice

Next up I need to sort out the kitchen and clothing cupboard. Does anyone know anyone that can assist me with making the clothing cupboard. I have an idea that i need made in metal/aluminium.

    Thank you.

I have this picture of what I am wanting to do but need to work out the measurements. I can put a drawing together this weekend. I would like it in metal.

Hi Jay_B. Its a place called B'sorah. Not much in the way of wildlife but you do hear lots of jackal at night and is a really nice bush setting and easy to get to from JHB or PTA..

This weekend I fitted a spade bracket to the inside of the canopy, sorted out some more leaks in the canopy (will it ever seal?) and started planning where i would fit the drinks fridge. I may not use the drop down option as planned mainly because of the extra weight of building a frame to hold it as well as the fridge, as well as the drop down slide which all seem to be pretty heavy. So I may just fit it to the inside of the front door on the canopy.

Oh and some packages arrived at the office today - still havent got pricing from the local guy. This is the wheels, silicon boost pipes and new belt tensioner and pully. Will share pictures once fitted. I cant wait for the wheels to be fitted but am not looking forward to the boost pipes.

Bruce, the rear end looks under strain, A bit weighty. Have you got the correct rear suspension. Nothing worst than bottoming out. Tyres and wheels look great. Maybe the picture is giving the wrong impression. You have really put a lot into this vehicle. Well done.
