Consider putting some sort of filtering media between the snowcowl and fender. Apparently it aids in keeping dust out.

    Small update.

I fitted the smaller steering wheel. makes a massive difference to comfort for guys my size.

Also upgraded the radio and will be doing speakers etc once the sound deadening has all been done. funny thing is when my daughter saw the radio last night she said "oh its old school" lol. It has made a big difference to sound quality even with the standard speakers.

Fitted tyres to #mashozi at Tyremart Centurion this morning. Very happy with them. Brilliant service from Court and his team

Fitted the new bottom door runners I received from Britcar. These are brilliant and seal up the bottom of the door nicely!

All I need to do is now seal up the rest of the dust and water access points 😂

Here are some before and after pics to show you the difference

Jakkals, fit them you will be amazed at the difference. My vehicle is so much quieter and many of the rattles and squeaks have gone. took my about half an hour at most.

Orxy, here are the codes and descriptions. The front doors use the same code, the back doors have a right and left rubber.

TBH I didnt even bother trying. Seems most of the guys locally are not interested in supplying any products, so I ordered from Britcar and it took about a week to arrive. Will probably do this for all my parts from now on.

I do the same with Brit-Car they excellent, don't even bother phoning around SA anymore.

I use JLR Classic for the part number and then just search it on their website, quick and easy.

I bought mine from the dealers a couple of years ago. IIRC, about R300 each or so.

    British 4x4 can supply both.

Personally I would toss the OE sidesteps and side sills. Have some custom rock sliders made that are compatible with a high lift jack.

Something similar to the attached pictures maybe.

Yes originally was going to do that but no one seems interested. I may just import some but haven’t looked into it yet as I think transport is going to be crazy. No local guys seem interested and I can’t find anything decent.

i am now planning the following so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know:
    - roof top tent (probably hard shell)
    - drawer system
    - have to seal up the canopy roof
    - improving the sound system
    - fitting sound deadening throughout
    - finishing the cupboards
    - upgrading the dual battery system from the solenoid type to DC/DC and fitting a second battery and solar system
    - seat covers
    - fit a tri-band radio and antenna tuning system for HF
    - rear light guards

hopefully when all that is done I can finally use it properly and go away.

Bruce, Dont discount the solenoid system in a landy with a dumb alternator. DC to DC would not be any better and at quite a cost.

edit: if you find someone to make sliders for you, let me know. also looking for a set for my 110.
