Default Fix Dewalt Radial arm saw Yolk - Powershot 7740

    Hi

Ive been having trouble setting my arm saw , and found that the yolk does not clamp firmly to roller head. i have played with the star shaped adjuster, but no joy.
So i want to remove the yolk from the head and inspect the 2 mating surfaces.

does anyone know how to disassemble the two parts ?

You have to remove the switches in front from the arm.

Then the whole roller head and yoke comes out

Remove motor and then it is easy to remove yoke from rollerhead

Edit: then King Bolt can be removed

think the easiest thing is to make a 6.5mm Allen key and adjust from the bottom every now and again when things get lose

My star adjuster is also damaged and locking mechanism works, but after while all is too loose to work properly.
Then I use allen key to tighten up from bottom as you mention.
Different model mine, but mechanism is the same

    Glad you got sorted
