    Default WTB: Series II/IIA

    Hi everyone.

After years of 'thinking', I'm ready to invest in a series truck.

Looking for a driver's quality, original, Pre 1968 Series II /or IIa '88 (not a restoration). Must have period 2.25L and Papers.

Willing to travel anywhere in SA, Malawi or Zambia for the right vehicle.

    Wish list:
    - Original = better
    - Don't care if LHD or RHD.
    - Petrol 2.25 only, not interested in na/tdi or conversions
    - Marine Blue or just 'blue'. Preferably older paint. Don't really want a new, glossy paintjob.
    - Pre-1968 'inner lights'.
    - Not egregiously rusty (such as needing a new frame / bulkhead to be a driver), simply because I don't have the skillset to repair this cost-effectively.
    - Hardtop would be a bonus, Tropical roof or a sunshield would be an extra bonus.

I am admittedly not a mechanic and don't have a garage in Cape Town, so while I'm keen to learn, I can't really dive into a Big project. That said, if you have a near runner that could become a runner in 6-10 weeks (flexible), then I could be interested if you are willing to help make it roadworthy. Becuase I have time/location flexibility with work, I would be keen to 'apprentice' alongside any repairs for a few weeks.

Please reach out if you have a lead.

    Thanks,

    Zach
