Grips, daardie Yanmar 1HDFTE gaan jou 21000 Euros kos....
    Meer as R400k ...

    Nou kaap ek hierdie draad

X 8 natuurlik.

Jip, ek hou maar by die V6.

Toe vir Kobus, ons local Cruiser mechanic vra , V8 of V6?, toe seg hy kom kyk hoe staan die diesels hier, dan besluit jy self.

The isf2.8 Cummins is a great engine but has a few issues.

#1 The oil they use and recommend is too thin, change it to 15w40 Delo 400 is already an upgrade.

#2 The low idle rpm is set at about 650-700rpm. This causes low oil pressure.
Set them to 800rpm and they have okish oil pressure at idle. Idling in traffic is what used to kill these engines.

#3 Depending on the software, that is the perfornance you get.
These isf2.8 have about a 30+ software calibration for different applications.

I found a tune that has good power and good fuel economy.

We have have 4 of these engines and they are really simple to work on.

If you are set on a isf2.8 for your cruiser, look for a Foton Tunland. They have the isf2.8 or R2. 8 as they are called in the USA.

My rede hoekom ek sÍ dat ek `n V8 sal gebruik is eenvoudig omdat dit `n moderne high revving enjin is.
Jy kan met min moeite 200kw an 700nm uithaal.
