    Default Citizen Dive Watch

    Hi All,

I am looking for the Citizen Men's Promaster Diver Stainless Steel Eco-Drive Diving Watch with Polyurethane Strap, Black, 20 (Model: BN0150-28E).

Does anyone know where the best place to get one is? Any thoughts on this particular model?

Very good watches.I have one that I bought in Thailand back in 1998.Still going strong and been abused.I have 3 others (All different Models) that I bought in Singapore back in early 2000's.There was a small watch shop that was closing. And they all still going good.
They have 3 batteries and use batteries up fairly quick. And need to be pressure tested after batteries have been replaced. Some have 2 batteries.Very few watch dealers are able to pressure test.
And yes all are genuine. All have been serviced at On Time in Cape Town. They are Citizen agents and are able to pressure test.

Have exactly the same , having it more than 20 years ago , although not wearing it everyday, but other citizen watches. Just replace new battery before lockdown.

Perhaps try Cajees in Clearwater mall for price .

I scratched out my Aqualand 1 ,I got it for Christmas in 1990 and was the watch I wore for national service. Some new batteries (takes 3) and it's my daily watch again, fantastic quality.

Look at the Military Watch Company (MWC), they have surplus military dive watches for sale, good quality and inexpensive.

I've had one for 10 years now, still going strong....

    They are.

I have had one of the older models 18 years and still running like day one and have never replaced the battery. Only straps replaced.

I have a Citizen Blue Angels Eco drive. Fantastic watch, put it in a cupboard for 6 months and it wakes up to the exact time. Never even had it serviced, swim in the sea. 20 years old now.

So by the sounds of things, these watches will last a long time.

Now the trick is where to buy one? What do you guys think about Amazon and eBay? I bought a Seiko SKX of an online general watch dealer and later found out that it wasn't genuine and was a watch made up from other watches.

Hence why I want to actually see/feel it?

I have one of the original ones, bought it around 1992. It worked hard, very hard commercial and sport diving for 15 years.

Probably went through about 8 straps.
Get the ones that are one single strap and thread it through both pins, so if one pin breaks off the other still holds the watch.

This was the model before the eco one. The only problem was a single instance of my mates eco drive was the arms fell off.

And it is battered and hammered it still ticks along merrily.
The last battery x3 and pressure test and o ring and full service was about R700 six years ago.

Probably any if the big malls will have an AD, they may need to order the specific model tho.
