    Default My Amarok Thread

As many would know I have been driving a 2011 Amarok BiTDi 4motion for the last three and a half years, currently standing on just below 250k km.

So after spending some time on some of the amarok social media groups I realised that although I'm no expert in any sense of the word I might have some basic knowledge to share for people that want to see how general maintenance tasks are being done or that would like to do it themselves but don't know where to start.

I've decided to start making a few instructional videos on basic maintenance tasks/jobs, for now specifically on the amarok.

I'll post the links in this thread if there's anyone interested. Please do comment, I will make mistakes and will gladly accept criticism to point out where I've gone wrong, you are never done learning in life, and by doing this I will surely learn to do a hell of a lot more and getting better at it.

I have done a few write ups and will link them in this thread as well for jobs ranging from fitting radios to changing out suspensions etc. It's for me nice to do separate write-ups as individual threads as it's easier to find on the internet than when it's hidden inside a 200 page thread.

Any suggestions for the thread or my YouTube channel are welcome...

So the first video posted is just a simple instruction for setting the handbrake on the Amarok.

Maybe a tiny bit misleading but this is not to be confused with setting the brakes. It's just setting and removing the slack in the handbrake cable.
A proper brake setting video will follow once I've gotten hold of parts after the lockdown.

My 2013 BiTi manual 4 motion staan ook op 248K. Jou vorige insette het al baie gehelp. Doen so voort.

    Hi Guys

For those that would like to see the basic functionality on the RCD330 before buying one, check out the video below. I had to remove yesterdays review because of a slight copyright issue when I played a song from itunes...

Doen hy dit net as hy koud is?

    Willem,
Will it be possible to post a video about replacing a battery on an Amarok?
I am not that mechanically handy, and it seems to be a bit difficult.
I attach a picture of my battery setup.

The "H6" plate in front is just a spacer ??
Must the ECU(??) to the left be removed ??

    Thank you.

    Willem

    Engine olie elke 15k km
Auto ratkas elke 80 - 90k km dink ek

Ek doen my cambelt streng elke 90k km of 5 jaar...
Poly v belt doen ek elke 45k km.
