Default A tribute to our Pajero

    https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum...eams-come-true

The story started almost three years ago with my dream of owning a Pajero coming true as mentioned in the above thread. Took six months to find it and was ok the verge of signing for a double cab auto Triton when the Paj found us with 190K on the clock.

It is a 2009 3.2 GLX, the plain Jane version with cloth seats, no aircon in the back, no cruise control ( I use the old school method ie my right foot) no buttons on the steering for the radio etc and no sunroof. The model that Andrew St Pierre White recommended one buys

The Pajero, over the time has become so a part of us as a family that we consider it one of us, utterly dependable and does anything one could want for an SUV to do. With so many things ome has to worry about and we've had our fair share, the Pajero has just been there, always in the background as some form of stability. As someone said it is the Swiss Army knife of cars.

The car reached 300 thousand kilometers recently so herewith some pics of the time spent with the car as a "siyabonga" to the Pajero.

The Paj has been everywhere, including Pretoordorp when it carted seven people to a ballerina dance off thing for the Youngest. Also where Cats ( dankie Christo) got a Pajero club sticker for the Blonde to collect.

Camping with it is a breeze, the packing space is ample and with the added roofrack we can tqke what we need. On the way to Tugela Mouth and Maphelane trips here.

On the way to Ithala, fully loaded with family and stuff. It was a scary trip in a huge thunderstorm and deluge with snotty roads, which made me appreciate the safety of Mitsubishi's full time 4wd Super Select system.

And with the Ithala weekend being our "on paper wedding date" and also the Blonde's birthday, the Paj stood watch over our tent.

Lekker Riaan. I've always lusted after a Pajero. Hopefully one day I can trade my bakkie in on one(Nothing wrong with my bakkie mind you but a Pajero has been on my wish list a while now).
