    Default 2006 F250 questions

Hi guys, I'm looking at possibly a F250 for loading/ work applications replacing a std size bakkie with trailer.

    Some questions
Are the maintenance parts readily available? filters, etc
Are these bakkies hobby vehicles or are they reliable?
What sort of issues does these bakkies generally have and what to look for when viewing, specific to the F250.
Whats the typical fuel consumption like around 7km per liter?

    Thanks in advance

That engine isn't known for its reliability.

BS - we've got a 2006, bought in 2009. No engine issues what so ever

    Thanks Leon and Spook

Noted, if looked after the F250 should not be much of an issue engine wise.
Need to watch out for signs of over heating, thanks

I see its quite a low revving engine 500 Nm @ 2000 rpm (I think) so i assume its very truck like in the way it pulls and drives in general.

There's 2 I'm going to view after the lockdown.

Anyone know where I can get a workshop manual for them?

PS, these Brazillian F250's are they the Perkins 4.2td?

The engine is the MWM 4.2 Sprint engine
It is not what you buy its what you build.
