Default Shattered Oven Glass - Bad Timing

After using the oven last night the oven glass shattered into a thousand pieces overnight. Itís quite a fancy Whirlpool oven that has three layers of glass, the one that shattered is the middle one. Can I clear out the pieces and still use the oven? I assume itís primarily there for additional insulation to stop the outside pane getting really hot. Bad timing as sourcing that middle pane now will well be a pain.

I would have a good look to heat escape to the sides.

You have high gloss wrap doors. They do not like heat. Basically a plastic wrap.

Rather just braai till you can replace it after the lock down.

Personally, I would make do without an oven till I can get it replaced: From what I can see it is an "eye level" unit. If the other two panes cannot take the heat, I would not want to have myself and/or wife and kids standing in front of- or walking past that oven if or when they do shatter.

Does it have a grill option? I would think the glass is not that necessary.

Last time I visited them they had to order almost every thing Whirlpool, no stock and often Whirlpool had no stock either.

I'm sitting with a microwave and an oven for which electronic boards are unobtanium. Found spares at a UK online shop, but they refuse to shop to SA
