Default Camping with our mothers: Trip report

Not being able to leave this coming Friday for Mabu and Kgalagdi, We thought we would share a few of our more memorable trips with everyone.

In 2012 we embarked on a very special trip with our 2 mothers- Camping in Chobe and Savuti, this is that story.

We both have great respect for camp attendants and game drivers after this trip

Most of the photos taken on this trip were slides with a few on a small digital camera.

It was a privilege to be able to share our love for the bush with our mothers and for them to see the Savuti Channel flowing,
we were t see it twice more in all its glory. The most striking memory was the sheer quantity of Marabou Storks and Pelicans
    literally thousands of them

One waits with anticipation to see it flow again

Another lovely report, is it too much to be anticipating one or two more ?

For you Stan, definitely, as long as I don't bore everyone. As we sit at home we need to remember and share memories.
We have a few up our sleeve.

Lovely pictures and memories. We all wish Savuti channel could flow again. It’s always a great sight , to see and experience especially when staying at campsites along the Channel. I just recognize the guide on the boat cruise, Spokes from Kasane.

Yes that is Spokes and his wife Esta, I have known him since the 90's when he rescued us with a broken radiator fan in Savuti.
His knowledge is unsurpassed. here's always hoping the channel will flow again.

Thanks so much for lovely post. I hope to be able to see the Savuti channel with water in it one day- when we were there in 2018 it was as dry as a bone...
