Default Dometic CF80 used permanently as a freezer

    Hi Guys

I see there is a similar thread, but doesn't answer my question.

I have removed my Dometic from my jeep and am using it permanently on the lowest setting-15`c as a freezer in the house during these uncertain times. Is there any issue in doing so for 3 weeks?

    Thanks and keep safe Gents

I am using my Dometic 50l as a freezer on and off as extra freezer.

Holidays when more visitors and now with lockdown.

No issues and that's what they are made for

I use mine as a fridge and keep it running all the time. No issues. Only thing is the dumb latch

It may run continuously when using as freezer, and may not reach -18 deg if that is required, in higher ambient temps. Thus it might not be as efficient as a normal freezer.

Still the best and most versatile bar fridge to have in these times.

Mine sits at my desk at my home office and has enough cold refreshments for a long time.

I have the old style 50lt CF and does the job brilliantly. It runs 24/7 with no issues.
