    Default Stranded?

Are there any full-time overlanders stuck in in Southern African countries on lock down? I can set special rally points on Overland Bound (and/or info on this thread) to provide updates and a place to ask for assistance if needed?

Christoff, long term overlanders might be from foreign countries. They are going to have to fly home asap. Their biggest problem is going to be finding somewhere to store their overlanding vehicle for the next while. I fear that human nature being what it is, the formal vehicle storage places might be tempted to raise their prices. If I am not mistaken a more or less standard charge is US$1 to 2 per day, not easy on the pocket. Storage might also be full.

I would like to suggest that if there are any travelers caught with this problem they post here. I am sure there will be members close to their locality that are willing to allow them to securely park their vehicle for a few months, free and gratis.

We got out just before lock down, pretty terrible drive from Northern Bot across Zim in a day. Will be posting a report and video asap.

I have stored some vehicles before, for overlanders, free of charge.

However I think 1 USD per day (which is what some campsites and lodges seem to charge), 180USD for 6 months, where you know your vehicle is looked after and safe, I don't think it's that bad.

We managed to get back from Bots just in time as well, only had to travel from Khutse at least so wasn't too bad
