Default Social Isolation - time to fix!

The social isolation is a godsend to LR owners. We can now spend the next few weeks doing nothing but the maintenance on the LR that we never "had time " to do...AND nobody can say you're being antisocial!

Time to rush out and buy whatever oils, spares and tools you need to get the job done...Hurry, hurry, quick, quick!

    On my list,

Realign front bull bar. Move it higher up if possible. New high tensile bolts all around
Install Terrafirma radius arms up front
    Lubricate all joints
    Replace rose joint on A-frame
    Replace bottom water pipe
Check, new grease and tighten front wheel bearings
    Install KC rock lights
    Install internal LED lights
    Check rear bumper and taillights
    Henk
    So understand
Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years
    Face up, make your stand
And realize you're living in the golden years

Replaced my sump last weekend.so far no leaks. The 1st time in many years.

I will spend some time degreasing and cleaning up properly. Replace brake fluid and a general spit and polish for now.

    Arthur the Unimog in self-isolation.

Aux electrics to be boosted with rooftop solar feeding into the Victron MultiPlus 1200W I/C.

    4x68W semi-flex glue on panels.

With shore charging and a dedicated 55amp alternator, the trilogy will be complete when we emerge from this lockdown.

Not only LR owners, I am sharpening my tools to do a few loose jobs - BUT herein lies the danger. I want to clean out the inter cooler, tighten all turbo pipes and give the cooling system a flush. My dad had a saying about tampering with a good running car..............

Thought I'll spend the 21 days finding my oil leaks - that should just be enough time to find them all. Fixing them all might take a bit longer...

I have 3 months left of a suspended sentence issued by my family; may not touch the LR unless its broken and may only touch after getting 3 independent assessments as to the difficulty of the job in question...Anything more difficult than "simple" has to go to an Indie
