    Default Covid-19: Sudanese Border closed

Just note that last night (16 March 2020) at 0:00 Sudan closed their borders and ports for a period of 15 days whereafter they will evaluate the situation.

    Formal statement (as received):

"In the Security and Defense Council, in its meeting today, Monday, we decided to declare a state of health emergency in all parts of the country, in order to confront the Corona virus.

According to all previous ministerial decisions, a supreme committee was formed to put in place all measures that prevent the disease from entering the country.

Immediately, the committee held its first meeting, and confirmed the decision to close all crossings, with the exception of flights carrying aid, technical and humanitarian support and pre-scheduled air freight.

During the committee’s meeting, all necessary measures were put in place to receive citizens stranded in land crossings,
And create places for them to spend a quarantine period. We affirm that all these decisions are taken to prevent the spread of the disease."
