hier in die Brackenfell doen Snyman 4x4 / African Landcruiser ook daardie restorasies. Net nie seker oor die engines of hulle dit ook modern maak of oorspronklik.

    vermoed dit is oorspronklik.

I see the suspension was changed, the original suspension was extremely harsh.

Called twin stick transfer cases. One lever to select between 2wd and 4wd and the other one for low and high range. The older 3 speed G 60 Patrols were like that.

I think in this case it might have an aftermarket 4 speed Atlas transfer case.

I think my last project are going to be a Shorty Cruiser. Have looked at several options. Body panels are still available under Toyota part numbers.

So far the easiest way looks like to start with an FJ 45 cab and FJ 40 rear body panels and roof or a more modern J70 built in the same way. Will use a more modern chassis from a 80 Series or 76 Series. My choice of engine would be 1HDT or 1VD FTV v8. If it needs to be petrol maybe a 4.5EFI turbo.

I know I will bump into the right Cruiser for the project. No Yank v8`s this time there are still plenty around to satisfy the adrenaline rush.
