I have received feedback on my complaint as promised. In short, TS and their underwriters regard the provision as fair and has made it clear that there is no obligation on them to conform to industry standards (24 hours) in this regard. It is my choice to accept the insurance contract or not. In all, the complaint was addressed in a professional manner, notwithstanding the outcome.

I have indicated to Raymond that I believe it would be in my best interest to test the fairness of the 6 hour rule with the Regulator, namely the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).

As stated previously, I am in all other aspects very satisfied with the policy, my cover, the service I receive, the price etc. As such, I remain insured with Tuffstuff.

My Broker, won't mention names here, had processed claims for me, almost a month later. No changing details, they just want it within 30 days.
Theft / hijacking, would be different, understandably.
Hit a dog on freeway ( mutt was fine, my bumber was binne in sy moer), submitted claim 30 days later. They paid out, in full. No bulls hit.
    As always, read the fineprint.
