    Default Kgalagadi visit

    Morning

we are booked for Kgalagadi from 1 - 5 April. Question is whether we will still be able to visit? We will probably no longer be able to visit Namibia anynmore but would still want to visit the Kgalagadi.

That is the million dollar question all of us with similar bookings in the coming months, have.
Apparently, more detail will become available during the day.

BUT, it is a very fluid situation and it may change on very short notice

    I am wondering too.

How do you define a gathering - 100 campers at Twee Rivieren?

Surely if one stays on the SA side that would still be allowed.

Of course we could see strict travel regulations in SA.

I see Botswana has closed its Twee Rivieren border post.

Is Government likely to shut down Kruger with its high tourist numbers?

    Lots of issues!

One can stay in the park but the border into Namibia or Botswana is closed. See point 3 about Kaa and Mabua.

A friend who regularly visits KNP was there last week. He says he has never seen so little tourist in KNP before. They were the only vehicle at a pack of wild dogs for almost an hour before the pack moved on.

    Hi,

We have changed our trip slightly and now will be starting at TR going through Matopi to Mabu and the back to Nossab on the Mabu trail road,
Polentswa- the Polentswa trail - Gharagab - Nossab and then Rooiputs.
We will be there from the 4th April to 17th April

Has anyone done the Nossab - Mabu road via Matopi and the Polentswa trail?

You probably are now aware of the fact that all SanParks are closed until 16 April as per the lock down. It may even be extended (I have a reservation from 11 May )

Tobie, ek was ook vir Mei bespreek, maar het besluit om na Oktober te skuif. Het baie maklik, en nog beter, plekke gekry. Maar dit het ek reeds Maandag gedoen, dit lyk dalk nou anders. Sterkte.
