Post Pont Drift and Mphoengs Border Crossings - and Pula

    Good day all!

I will be driving a car down from Zim to SA in the coming week and would like to cut through Bots, entering from Warmley/Mphoeng (just south of the Plumtree border post) and then exiting from Bots via the pont drift border post next to Mapungubwe. I have heard that the pont border post is only accessible if the river is low or is there actually a pont that can take the cars across? Would it be fine to cross at this time...I'd assume the river might be quite high at the moment.

Also, do I need Pula to cross the borders or would USD or ZAR be fine? Does anyone have an idea of current fees to cross with a bakkie?

    Many thanks!!

    Borders closed as of today.
You have to use main (commercial) border crossings as long as they stay open.
Situation might change on short notice depending on development in the Corona saga.
