And there the politicians surprise me

Nam is on level 4 - almost back to normal. Borders will remain closed for normal travel, but foreign travel is allowed with restrictions.

Erongo moves to level 3 with some restrictions.

Will publish the regulations once I receive them

So rest of Nam will #### over to our stage 4, Swakop, Walvis and Arandis will remain in stage 3 with what seems like a few added restrictions.
No real news as to opening up of borders yet.

Anybody here maybe contacted RSA immigration on what will happen if you go to Nam with the new travel allowance and then come back to South Africa?

On 3 August 2020, Namibia opened its borders to tourists from a selected list of countries as it prepares for the reopening of its borders later in 2020. This 'trial period' will end on 17 September 2020 and is aimed to identify any potential safety matters ahead of the reopening. Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek is the only international airport currently operating in Namibia.Open for international travel / date of reopening:

    • Gradual reopening of borders to selected countries (yet to be confirmed) proposed from 3 August to 17 September 2020.
    • 18 September 2020 (possible date of reopening for international travel).

Health screening and quarantine protocols on arrival:

    • Visitors are required to present a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test result upon arrival, valid for 72 hours before entering Namibia.
    • Visitors will not be subjected to mandatory quarantine, but must remain in their initial destination for a seven-day period Ė during which a PCR test must be conducted.

Still waiting for official docs to be released about the above. Also still no list of approved places to stay for your 7 days "non-quarantine".

And still no incoming flights. So....
