Hi Stephan that BH plug might be a bit exposed. One stone hits that and its broken. Maybe a protection plate will help to keep it whole.

I had one of those regulator on my system last year and it malfunctioned and resulted in Lost battery. Keep an eye on it. Backup for them(wrnd) are a bit MIA. Still waiting for a return call from him/reply after numerous messages. Dumped it and bought something different from a more reliable source with aftersales support.

Thanks for the heads up. Wean from WRND is a good friend of mine and I stay like 4km from him, so that sort out the after sales service for me. At a later stage I will replace the regulator with the dc-dc charger.

That BH is mounted behind the wheel and has protection from the mudguard - a mudflap will add to the protection.

Not really Metalian specific, but I built these lights for overhead lighting at the kitchen area. It will fit nicely under the fridge slide.

I did a template using carton for the area above the battery. As soon as lockdown is over it will be done using 9mm plywood.

I had laminate flooring left overs and decided to use it instead of waiting for the lockdown to end.

I ordered from Wish. But knowing what I know now, will rather use Banggood.

Edit: It is called a drag chain

You can buy the energy chain from Igus in Johannesburg.

It really works well to keep the cable out of the way of the fridge slide.

PS: Does anyone have tips on how to remove double-sided tape residue without damaging the powder coting?

No thinners, acetone for a starter. Try turps or Xylene. I've seen a kind of plastic wheel that goes on to a grinder that removes stickers and therefor guess you can try mechanically rubbing it off with a a hard flexible type rubber, like try the yellow soles you get on shoes. Let us know!!

I realised why the new Genies will have (at least as on option as I understand it) the driver side cupboard albeit a narrow one, when I wanted to create a slide in for solar panels. I had to make a retrofit plan. Still need to get some plywood for the top.
