To be honest, you should be ok without booking. Usually I would recommend that you book that time of year, but the way the Corona Virus story is scaring people...

I will suggest booking at Sesriem if you want to stay in the NWR camp. There are other options in the vicinity. Kasane during SA school holidays might also post a challenge.

    I would book.

September is "high"season, so most places would be booked already. I am talking Namibia though. June is the start of the season so should be able to find a spot, especially at the rate cancelations are coming in due to the Corona story. Sad but true.A

Also I would rather skip Walvis and stay in Swakop. And usually stay at Klein Aus Vista and do a day trip to luderitz, but that personal preferance because camping in Luderitz imo is no fun if the wind picks up.

Don't even think of camping in Luderitz. You might find your tent in the Congo the way the wind blows. The world wind surfing speed record was set there.

Swakop - Sophia Dale. Just arrive.

Tsumeb - Kupferquelle on the right as you come into town on the right. Just arrive.

Walvis - Haven't checked it out but there is camping near the golf course.
