    Default Online F1 streaming

    Hi all

Thought I'd mention this on here, for those who enjoy watching F1 but don't have or want DSTV. No idea how good the service is, etc. but at the price I reckon it could be a very good deal? R76 p/m or R685 prepaid for the whole year.

F1 TV Pro, which allows users to watch live Formula 1 races through the official F1 streaming platform, is now available in South Africa.

    Cool!

Just noticed the 25% discount if you sign up with the EARLYBIRD25 promotion code before 28 February 2020. Nice!

Same for Apple TV, for now the app is not available for Apple TV, but you can download for iPhone and iPad. I am using my iPhone currently and Airplay to the Apple TV.

ATV app should be available later this year.

I notice you can get it for Roku devices as well (will check tonight for Samsung TV)
So it supports the devices I use
    And it is relatively cheap

You can go for R900pm DSTV or just stream it directly for less than R80

Who want to bet DSTV will want to complain in next month

DSTV lost the African exclusive rights to F1. That is why so many African countries are scooped up.

I further enjoy the technical chat afterwards. There is also a technical section that gets displayed a few hours later for about 40 minutes.

Personally for me being a F1 junky, this enriches you with F1 technical understanding.

Thing I love about this is first it is the first access to F1 that is 100% legal at an decent price where you do not have to shelf out R800+pm

I must say it still has to prove itself but hey it is not generally like F1 to skimp and go cheap on what they deliver
It would damage their name and thus their sponsorship too much

The clips I have checked is bit slow on the start but improves to decent quality as you play it
will have to see on full races

I really want to see how the "Choose car cam" feature works when the races is on

On my line it is 100% on 1080p. This service has been going for a while.

Well tested it at home where the Wifi router is decent AC
    Home has 50Mbps fibre connection

The one at work is older G unit which has max transmission of 52Mbps which it then splits between devices and obviously severely limits transmission speeds

Everything is working great the streaming appears to be perfect from the start
No buffering experienced and everything is coming through well

Will need to see during a race of course

Also hope they add Samsung TV's app soon
