    Hi, do any of you guys know where i can purchase a whole sheep or lamb at cost price around vaal/vereeniging/alberton area?

    I would love to buy a whole lamb/sheep cutted :-) for all the braais im goin to have in this lockdown period.

    At shops they r asking in the range of R1300, can be more can be less.

    Guessing cost price will be less? Say in the +-1000 mark?

    For a 1/2 lamb maybe. R102.50 per kg

    What the avarage weight of a lamb or sheep(which normally is cheaper) for that matter?

    Any suggestions where i can purchase?

    What is cutted, Goofy50?

    Do you mean GUTTED? i.e. Intestines removed?

    Or do you mean all CUT UP, as in chops, shoulders, leg of lamb, ribs, shanks, etc?

    CUTTED is not a word. If you meant the last option, the present tense word CUT's past tense remains CUT!

    Just thought I'd try and get the gist of you question? I am not trying to be funny...

    Saw today that Food Lover's Market is selling bulk lamb packs, cut up, at R99.99 per kilo

    Big shortage on lamb currently.
    And prices has gone up today.

    Not sure about mutton. Not alot of places selling mutton. Not a big seller, as u say not that great..
