Dometic CF50 Fridge Freezer now at R6499 with Takealot.

I've had this unit 2.5yrs its very good and energy efficient.

Typical night time operation @ +- 48watts is 2-3 mins, every 25 mins, with 2X 5lt water bottles.

I own a Snomaster BD/C 95 bought in the beginning of 2017. It gets used 6 or 7 times a year on every trip I take regardless of accommodation style. Thus far it has only been a joy to use and I have never run out of ice cold beer even in 42Deg C ambient temperatures. It is probably the best investment in "camping" equipment I have ever made.

Total cost of purchase - No need to buy additional extras like baskets or cover.
Gets to temperature very quickly. Maintains up to a 15Deg difference between compartments with ease.
Build quality - Very sturdy, excellent hardware and materials used.*
Insulation - This is an expedition model with 70mm insulation.
Reliability - Not a single problem ever, it just works and it works under harsh conditions. This fridge sees a lot of use on the back of my bakkie over very rough terrain.
Remote - Very handy and easy to use, gives you piece of mind, also alerts you at a glance should there be an issue with the power supply.

*The supplied 12V power cable sucks. I replaced the plug with a genuine Hella and have genuine Hella female sockets installed in my bakkie.
Heavy - As can be expected from such a big unit.

Any of the major brands are good, it comes down to personal preference.

Nobody even mentioned that the Snowmaster guarantee on the motor is 7 years and on the body 5 years.
Never any other fridge nor freezer for me.I got two and will never look back.
....and no,I am not a snowmaster rep nor sales person
