Kar is doodveilig waar hy nou staan, so rather play it safe..........![]()

Ask the Audience............

Easy peasy. Of sommer paar stukke conveyor belt

Sal seker so 11 uur wegkom, dis darem naby, so 120km van hier af. My seun en sy pel gaan die naweek gelukkig Winterton toe, so die 2 latte kan help, veral met al die vuiler werkies
Sien nogal kwaai uit gaan BAIE exciting wees hoop ek![]()

Sys uit.
Jomar and I left at around 12, when we arrived there we took the Gator, and a strap and went looking for Olive.
Road was luckily dried up, but Olive was still standing in thick potklei, in the wood.
She started easy peasy.
We attached the strap, but the Gator didn't really move that big Mamma, so Jomar went back to fetch the 3 hands and shovels.
While he's gone I started deflating the Coopers a bit and rocked her forth and back.....difficult, she had a small tree behind her, but I did manage to move her enough to get some rocks in front of 3 of her wheels.
Sweated a LOT, but it was just GREAT to be in a soaking wet (from sweat) shirt again, have mud on your hands and legs, and taste that saltiness in your mouth. When Jomar arrived back I could see in his eyes that he knows the old ballie is still....well...lekker and strong and getting in there.
She slipped a wee bit to that ledge but nothing serious.
ALMOST got her out on my own but decided to rather wait, she was getting close to that ledge....if she started spinning, even when moving, there'd be trouble.
Jomar arrived, we attached the Gator, and after 2 or 3 attempts those Coopers found grip, and out she went.
Wasnt even necessary for the Malawi's to come help but ja...thanks to them, too. GREAT Guys those.
Little bit of damage but nothing to serious....I wanted to Raptorise all the black bits again anyway.
Was an exciting day, full of mud mind you, and I'm VERY glad everything went well.
Absolutely AMAZING place this, friend of mine's weekend getaway , stunning scenery , PLENTY game (the giraffes are so time I think they'll eat out of your hand), plenty amazingly nice little 4x4 tracks all over the place. About 700 hectares of pure heaven.
And yes....these Patrols are tough as bloody nails 4x4s.............very very tough. I love Olive to bits.
And I learned something.....
1) deflate, even just at 1.5 or so. Dont be lazy, or think it's "gonna be fine". I really NEVER bother to get out and deflate, and ja. Here are the results.
2) get a GOOD tyre inflator and keep it in the car. Not those small Midas jobbies...I felt my hair turning greyer while waiting for that thingie to inflate again.
3) dont ever think you know it all and can do it all, no matter what 4x4 you're using....you DON'T know it all.
Lastly thanks for all good advise in here...especially the ones dealing with deflating.

YSTER 4x4, die Patrol.
Ek is genuine net BAAAAIE bly:
