Default AL-KO Steadies on a Bush Lapa

Has anyone fitted AL-KO drop down steadies to their Lapa?

I find that the front jockey wheel only is not good enough for me.

    1. The shaft moves, slides through the clamp.
    2. With front steadies it will be so much more steady.

A friend suggested a 6ton jack stand just behind the coupler....works like a bomb and was only R250 as my friend bought the other jack in the box

    https://www.adendorff.co.za/product/...l-jack-stands/

Much easier than jacking up two additional steadies to the correct level, less weight and much cheaper

Do anybody know where you can buy al-ko steadies online? Preferably in Western cape to lower courier costs?

Fitted mine before December's 2 week camp and it works great. Little effort for great impact. Fitted mine on the outer side and they fold (just) in towards the A-frame.

Just frequently check the mounting point for damage as there where you mounted it is not as strong as at the T.

This will definitely cover the possible issue of the jockey sliding down, but won't increase the stability of the caravan.

Thank you to everyone that replied.

I have ordered a set of AL-KO steadies and will fit them when they arrive.

The thinking behind it was not just the jockey wheel sliding through the clamp but also for better stability. I'm sure that they won't disappoint.

    Pictures to follow when fitted.

Jack stand also handy to keep the A- frame in the air if you want to ajust the nose height by losening the Jockey wheel bracket.

Can also be used to stabilise your towing vehicle when changing a wheel instead of relying only on the OEM bottle jack
