    Default Jurgens XT65 Bigger Wheels

Has anyone fitted or tried to fit bigger wheels to a Jurgens XT65?

I know it comes standard with 14s but it would just make a lot more sense to me if one was able to fit 15s to it. Will also allow it to reach a lot more “remote” places.

I’m just not sure if it’s possible, i.e. if the body and fenders allow for it.

If you have managed to do so, please share pictures.

Wheels are to close to the arch already. What I did was to put the spare wheel on the back of the trailer. Giving me more ground clearens underneath.

That's what I was afraid of...

My issue with the 14 inch is that the availability of an offroad type tyre is almost non-existent. So now you're stuck with the road tyre. Not sure what your experience has been?

If you have a tent on the trailer the higher profile wheel might be a problem for the height of the TT.

Can you not fit commercial tyres? These are designed for heavy loads, you don't really need "grip", just strength.

I have done aplenty of dirt roads with the standard tyres that came out with the trailer and never had any problems.

I’m not necessarily worried about load. More about the tyre getting shred to pieces when traveling remote areas were it won’t necessarily be “graded” dirt roads...
