    Default Camping advice near Keetmanshoop please!

    Any recommendations please of where to camp near Keetmanshoop as overnight stay between Luderitz and Mata Mata! The wilder the better!

    Stay away from Quivertree Forest
    (see other threads on this forum)

    rather stay out on road to MataMata
    at MesoSaurus Fossil Lodge and see
    great Quiver Trees and Fossils to boot at far lower price and far greater hospitality ...

    Agreed stay away from Quivertree forest, then rather move on to Seeheim, and for wildcamping lowen river bed, on the C12, just before it joins D545, that is now if your heading south for a couple of kilometers from Seeheim

    We also stayed at Terra Rouge
    just before, and better camp site than, Mata Mata ... a very nice site....
    and on the banks of the Nossob which is possibly still flowing ?
    Then get to, not too far, MataMata early
    to get a site in the shade !
    You can buy diesal and basic groceries at Mata.
    The border post doesnt want wood taken in ...
